8th Grade History Skits
Mr. Samber’s 8th grade students performed skits today from the colonial period.

Mr. Samber’s 8th grade history class was in the office this morning to lead the school in the pledge of allegiance and the Akron Ram fight song.

100 Mile Club
We had some excited young students in the gym this morning putting in their miles.

Akron staff members are excited for a day of learning on Halloween.



The Akron School Book Fair Family Night will be Monday, November 4th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Hope to see you there!
JH Boys Basketball will play 3 games today all on one court. Approximate game times are C-4 B-5 A-6. On Monday we will play 3 games in Haxtun starting at 4. We will have running halves for C with the approximate game times being C-4 B-4:30 A 5:30. Please come early Go Big Blue!
The Akron School will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, October 30th, due to adverse weather and road conditions,
Akron Schools early dismissal, today, Tuesday, October 29. Due to predictions of deterioating weather, school will dismiss early today at 12:30 p.m. H.S. students dismiss for lunch at 12:15 p.m. Parents should pick up their children at 12:30 p.m. Buses will run at 12:35 p.m.

Congratulations Nadalyn Poss and Brandy White!!! These ladies were part of a Brush Beetdigger softball team that finished as the 3A State Runner-up yesterday.

The AHS robotics team competed at NJC yesterday. The team made the wildcard round but did not advance. The robotics program offers a valuable experience for everyone who participates. Thank you to our team and Ms. Thompson for your tome and effort.

The Akron Ram football team battled against the Haxtun Bulldogs yesterday but came up short 12-24.

The Akron Lady Ram volleyball team lost a close contest against Haxtun yesterday 2-3 in the best of 5.

Making Learning Fun
3rd grade students and teachers took time on Thursday to have fun with reading and literacy. When you learn about author’s purpose, you get “PIE”ed!

The Akron Junior High had their Fall Festival Thursday night. The students had a wonderful time dressing up, dancing, playing games, and doing a little karaoke.

Congratulations to the Lady Rams volleyball team earning a 3-1 win over the Lady Beetdiggers on Thursday. Go Rams!

166 Akron Rams received perfect attendance for 1st quarter. They were treated to a brownie, ice cream, and a movie. Congratulations Rams!

The 7th grade class led the morning pledge of allegiance the last two weeks. Thursday morning they finished strong with leading the school fight song. Awesome job Rams!

JH boy’s basketball season started Tuesday against the Yuma Indians. 🏀
