BIG BUDDY
We had our first big buddy day last Wednesday. Big buddy groups are composed of students from different grades. The goal of our program is to build connections between students in our school.


The Akron Ram J.H. football team finished their season last week with a fourth win. Akron 28 Merino 20.

Just a reminder, we have rescheduled the bonfire for tonight at 7 PM. Please come out and celebrate our Akron Rams!

Due to wind and weather this week, the bonfire will be postponed until next Thursday, October 17th at 7 pm. We apologize for all the changes with this event, but are excited to celebrate our school. GO BIG BLUE

We have a change with our VB games scheduled Thursday. JH will start at 3 PM and will play on 1 court the order will be C-B-A. HS will start at 5 PM. The varsity team will play first at 5 PM followed by the JV team.

We have had a change to our homecoming activities this week due to possible weather. We will have the car smash and bonfire on Wednesday starting at 6:30 pm. We will then have our volleyball and wiffle ball games on Thursday at 6:30 pm or after the HSVB games in the field house.

The Akron J.H. Lady Ram volleyball team had a very good day at the LPAA League Tournament on Saturday. The Rams beat Sedgwick County 2-1, lost a close contest to Merino 1-2, and finished the day strong downing Wray 2-0. The ladies displayed resilience all day. Great job players and coaches!

Our Akron elementary students were treated to a presentation by book author, Barbara Tyner this morning.
