Dear Akron Rams Parents and Families,
I want to start by congratulating both of our high school basketball teams for successful seasons. The Lady Rams have advanced to the Great 8 and will be playing on Thursday, March 13 at 8:45 AM.
Numerous Akron staff, students and parents are planning to go and support the Lady Rams team this Thursday and Friday. The number of staff and students who plan to go and support our team necessitates canceling classes this Thursday, March 13. If you are able please join the Akron crowd and help cheer our Rams on to victory.
The success of our school both in and outside the classroom is a testament to the great teachers, families, and community of Akron. These events provide us the opportunity to openly share our support for our children and community.

Late Start
Dear Akron Rams Families,
Given the unpredictable nature of this incoming storm and the difficulty meteorologists are having in predicting where the snow will hit, we will implement a late start at this time for tomorrow, Tuesday, March 4th. Start time on Tuesday will be 10 AM with students expected to arrive at 9:40 AM. No breakfast will be served.
Please know we will continue to monitor the weather and reevaluate in the morning based on weather, visibility, and road conditions. If needed, we will make additional cancellations no later than 8 AM.

School Closure and Late Start
Due to severe cold temperatures forecasted throughout the day tomorrow, Tuesday, February 18th, the Akron School will be closed. Additionally, we will implement a late start for Wednesday, February 19th. School start time on Wednesday will be at 10 AM, with students expected to arrive starting at 9:40 AM. Bus route pick-up times will be modified two hours and 20 minutes later than regular pickup times. Please communicate with your driver if you will not be riding. Breakfast will not be served on Wednesday morning.
MS Wrestling @ Ovid has been cancelled for today. We will keep you updated if it is rescheduled.

We are excited to host a PEP Rally and Send Off for our wrestlers as the head off to State. Pep Rally is Wednesday February 12th at 3 PM with the sendoff from the North Parking Lot on Thursday February 13th at 6:30 AM. Come help us support our Akron RAMS Wrestling Team! Attention League Band Parents:
Due to adverse weather conditions the League Band Concert Performance in Merino has been moved up to 2:30 PM today. Students will eat after the performance and head home early.
Good Morning
Due to the adverse weather conditions the FCCLA will not be going on their trip today. The Eagles game will be rescheduled to April 4th.
We are celebrating CTE month & are extremely proud of these programs and the opportunities they provide our students!!
