The Akron Ram J.H. and H.S. basketball teams played at Otis on Saturday. The Ram teams were successful in each of their contests.

Akron Ram wrestlers were in action this past Saturday at the Pirate Invite held at at Englewood H.S. Akron’s Gavin Brown finish as tournament champion.
The Akron JH Girls will host Merino this afternoon in basketball starting at 4 PM. B girls will play first followed by A girls. Come out and support our Lady Rams!
The Akron JH and HS Boys and Girls Basketball Teams are traveling to Otis Saturday, January 11 to take on the Bulldogs. JH A girls start at 12 followed by B girls then A boys then B boys. The HS teams are scheduled to start at 2 with VG followed by VB. GO BLUE!
We are celebrating our HS Wrestling Program and honoring our parents by hosting a BLUE OUT. Anyone in a blue Akron Rams t-shirt will receive 1/2 off admission to the wrestling dual. Come out and support our wrestlers!
Our HS Basketball Team will be taking on the Yuma Indians on Friday, January 10 at the Akron Field House starting at 4 PM. We will play both JVG and JVB to start the match up followed by VG then VB. Come out and support your RAMS!
Our JH Lady Rams will be traveling to Haxtun on Thursday to take on the Bulldogs. Games will start at 4PM with 2 running halves of C girls, followed by B girls, and finishing the night with A Girls. Plan to be early and loud! Go Lady Rams!
The Ram's Wrestling Team has added a dual vs Yuma on Thursday, January 9 starting at 7 PM. This will also be senior and parent's night for our wrestlers. Come out and support our wrestlers! GO BLUE!
Congratulations to Rachel Lowery and all of her band and choir students. Monday night the Akron Junior High and Akron High School Band, Jazz Band, and Choir had their concert. They all did a wonderful job.
Congratulations to our Akron Ram J.H basketball boys and their coaches for winning the LPAA League Tournament held in Akron on Saturday. The Rams will host the winner of the the LPAA east division this Tuesday, December 17th at 6 p.m.

The Akron Ram wrestlers were in action on Saturday at the Limon Invitational. Gavin Brown was the lone placer for the Rams finishing in 4th place. The Rams will be competing at the Bob Smith Invitational at Wray next Saturday.

The Akron Ram basketball teams took on the Simla Cubs at home Friday night. The girls lost and the boys picked up their first win of the season. The Rams will be in action again next week on Thursday and Friday for the Akron Holiday Tournament.

The Akron boys JV picked up a win Thirsday night against Union Colony. The varsity girls won in over time and the varsity boys lost. Come out and support the Rams tonight at home against Simla starting at 4:00! 🏀
Fourth graders were invited to Mr.Hall’s science room to experience an “Is an Earthworm Animal?” lab.
FFA DISTRICT SPEAKING RESULTS:
Daisha Riofrio and Janessa Shook received Silver in Prepared Public Speaking. Laura Vorce received Silver and Clint Walker received Bronze in the Creed Speaking contest.
