FILLA RECEIVES MCGUFFY AWARD
Akron School Board President, Jessica Filla, was honored with a Colorado Association of School Boards McGuffy Award at the CASB Region 1 meeting, August 22nd, held in Akron. This award honors board members who bring committed and passionate service to their board work. Jessica fits this definition perfectly, as she has always gone above and beyond as a board member. She has served on the school board for the past eight years and has provided a steady and supportive leadership style in her service to the district. Her servant style of leadership can also be found out in the community, through her numerous volunteer activities. Please join us in congratulating Jessica Filla on this well deserved award!
