2020 OUTSTANDING TEACHER AWARD:
Congratulations to Mrs. Heather Weis for being selected as the 2020 Akron Outstanding Teacher! Mrs. Weis has been a 3rd grade teacher here in Akron since 2012. She also helps coach the elementary Brain Bowl teams as well as volunteering her time to help organize the Color Run and serves on various additional committees.
Each year a donation is given from an anonymous donor to recognize a teacher in the Akron School. The hope is to recognize the great work of teachers and the impact they make in student's lives on a daily basis. The Akron School District is blessed to have a wonderful team of teachers and staff members who are deserving of recognition.
Congratulations Mrs. Weis! We are so proud of you and this honor is well deserved!
